Fitness Update #2

Hello all,

It has been a while since I have written to you so I thought it was due time that I give you an update. Boy, have the last few months been tough. We got hit with a cold weather spell and some snow that slowed things down but I got right back on the horse.

Since I began this journey in January I am happy to report that I have officially lost at least 7lbs and I have lost 25 and ½ inches from my body! That’s over two feet! Basically that means since muscles weigh more than fat and muscle takes up less space I have gained some muscle and lost some serious fat. I lost 5 and ½ inches on my hips, 6 on my left arm and 5 on my right arm and etc. Those are all the areas I specifically remember right now!

I want to take this time to specifically thank some people who have helped me succeed on this journey. First of all I want to thank my family who has supported me and helped me stay on track. Second, my coworkers who always give me encouragement and keep me going on Third, all of my blog readers/Facebook followers who always want to know how I am doing, or commenting on these posts or sending me personal text/messages. Last but not least my personal trainers who have shown me with hard work and knowledge can really make a difference.  I couldn’t have done this without all of you!

I am already beginning to feel better and I have more energy than before! I can’t wait to see what the next few months have in store as I continue down this path! Thank you for reading this post.

If you are also on a similar journey or are considering starting to get healthier check out John Glaude on www.youtube.com/obesetobeast  He has been a big inspiration of mine and he posts all sorts of cool videos to motivate ,inspire and inform people how to take control of their health. Fitness Update #1

Today is my first day writing again since I started on this journey. So I am here to give everyone and update. It's hard for me to figure out where to begin. I guess I'll start with an update on the soda drinking.

I have went from drinking an average of 3 to 4 BOTTLES not cans of soda, to about 1 soda a week. It has been a hard transition but a worthy one.

At this point I am not sure how much weight I have lost, I made the mistake of not stepping on the scale when I first began, I just started trying to get healthier. Now I know what I weight, and will update on the pounds lost at a later point in time.

I have decided to join a group called T.O.P.S. which stand for Taking Off Pounds Sensibly in order to help keep me accountable to actually keep losing, and to help me have a support group of people who are doing the same thing

I've saved the best for last, I have joined a gym and have begun working out and trying to build up my endurance.  This was a hard step for me because I have always felt weird about gyms, I'm not sure why but I know that I can't really do this without one. Everyone there is super nice, and just really want to see you succeed on your personal goals, totally not what I thought before I joined this gym.

I even went above and beyond not only did I join a gym but I also hired a personal trainer.  This was a super difficult step for me. I was super afraid that the trainer would be all in my face pushing me to limits that I couldn't achieve at this point. But boy was I wrong. Yesterday I had my first appointment with a trainer, and she did push me but in a very positive and encouraging way. I think I am heading in the right direction and there is no telling where I will end up.

Thanks for reading, and don't forget to sign up for e-mail updates at the bottom of this page for more updates of my journey!
